Coming off the game of his life, in which he threw for 513 yards and four touchdowns against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, one would think that Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr would be a no-brainer for fantasy owners to start this weekend.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 9: This may be a good time sit Derek Carr
Oakland’s star quarterback faces a tough Broncos defense on Sunday. We explore the fantasy implications.

But the quarterback has to face off against the Denver Broncos’ defense this week. The Broncos’ defense has played just a little bit better than the Bucs’ defense has this season. Just a little.
Fantasy Impact: In his first matchup with Denver this year, Carr will get to face a defense that has given up the fewest fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks in 2016. The Broncos have eight interceptions this season and they have held the opposing signal caller to under 200 passing yards during five of their eight games this year.
Yahoo! is projecting Carr to have a fairly decent game on Sunday with 238 passing yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. This is easily the toughest defense the Raiders’ quarterback has faced so far in 2016 and it may be a good idea for fantasy owners to look elsewhere for a quarterback with a better matchup this week.
