Since catching a total of 24 touchdowns from 2013-14 while with the Denver Broncos, tight end Julius Thomas has been a bit of a letdown since he became a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2015. In six games this year, the tight end’s numbers are slightly better than they were last season, but they are nothing to justify the amount of money the Jaguars are currently paying him (over $7 million in 2016).
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 9: The bench may be the best spot for Julius Thomas this week
The Jaguars’ tight end will be looking to catch a touchdown in his third consecutive game on Sunday. We explore the fantasy implications.

He has caught two touchdowns in his last two games, but he hasn’t topped 30 yards in a game since Week 2.
Fantasy Impact: This week, Thomas will try to keep his touchdown streak alive when Jacksonville takes on the Kansas City Chiefs.
Against tight ends in 2016, the Chiefs are allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game in the league. The position group has only one touchdown catch against Kansas City this season and no opposing tight end has gained more than 45 receiving yards when playing them this year.
For Thomas on Sunday, Yahoo! projects the tight end to finish with just three catches for 34 yards. Fantasy owners should consider looking elsewhere for a tight end this weekend.
