Bye week hell continues in Week 9 with six more teams on byes. And you thought it couldn’t have been worse in Week 8? Now, fantasy owners get to scramble as skill position players on the Patriots, Bengals, Washington, Cardinals, Bears and Texans all get to sit out of lineups. But with the Bills and Seahawks squaring off on Sunday, options, though few of them, still remain for fantasy owners.
Fantasy football advice, Week 9: who to start/sit for Buffalo Bills vs Seattle Seahawks
Dan Ciarrocchi reviews who should be in fantasy lineups or on benches for Monday night’s matchup.

Buffalo Bills
Start ‘em?
There’s something to be said for the Seahawks when they are on the road (mostly bad things), and better than words to describe it would be film of 30-year-old Tim Hightower managing to eclipse 100 rushing yards against a usually dominant front seven. That’s not to say the Seahawks’ defense played poorly, but more to say that they aren’t the shutdown unit that onlookers have grown accustomed to seeing.
That said, the Seahawks are at home this week, and face LeSean McCoy, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury. It’s fair to question McCoy’s effectiveness after sitting out Week 8 and having nothing to offer in Week 7. McCoy should still provide value from volume, but fantasy owners shouldn’t expect to see the same running back who appeared in the first six weeks of the season. He’s an RB2 with six teams on bye.
Sit ‘em
Tyrod Taylor and his depleted corps of receivers are not worthwhile starts in Week 9 against a ferocious Seahawks defense on the road.
Seattle Seahawks
Start ‘em
Christine Michael was held in check for the fourth straight game as the Seahawks’ offense has been lethargic from top to bottom. Michael remains on the RB2 radar, and while Jimmy Graham and Doug Baldwin offer upside worthy of starting, fantasy owners can only rely on them to get as far as a struggling Russell Wilson can take them.
Sit ‘em
With three straight games without a touchdown, fantasy owners wouldn’t be faulted for streaming a quarterback that offers more upside than Wilson can boast at this point in the season. Wilson is worth stashing for obvious reasons, but can remained benched until he flashes his previous, dominant form.
