Adrian Peterson managed to catch a pass in a game he isn’t playing in, from Dak Prescott

The injured Vikings running back was not Prescott’s intended receiver, but he made a nice catch anyway.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was just trying to throw the ball away in the second quarter of Thursday Night Football. Instead, he completed the pass to injured Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson on the Vikings’ sideline.

Peterson has been sidelined since Week 2 of the NFL season, when he tore his meniscus against the Green Bay Packers. The injury required surgery, and the Vikings placed Peterson on injured reserve, but it is possible he could return to the field for Minnesota in December.

If Peterson’s catch on the sideline is any indication, it looks as though he’ll be ready to go once he’s medically cleared.
