Dak Prescott fumble gifts the Vikings a go-ahead field goal

The fumble and recovery let Minnesota take a lead.

The Minnesota Vikings defense has been a strength throughout the season, and nothing has changed on Thursday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys. The Vikings have forced two fumbles, including one on rookie quarterback Dak Prescott late in the third quarter as Minnesota trailed the Cowboys 7-6.

Vikings defensive end Brian Robison sacked Prescott on the Dallas 17-yard line, stripping the ball. Defensive end Everson Griffen recovered at the Dallas 19, putting the Vikings in excellent position to take a lead over the Cowboys.

Unfortunately for Minnesota, the offense went three-and-out, and it had to settle for three. Kicker Kai Forbath hit the upright, but it was good, and the Vikings took a 9-7 lead.
