San Diego’s young receiver is looking to extend his touchdown streak this weekend. We explore the fantasy implications.


The pass catcher was not even supposed to have a big role this season, but injuries to other Chargers receivers have propelled Williams into one of the team’s top offensive weapons. In his last four games, the San Diego wide receiver has 21 catches for 307 yards and four touchdowns.
Fantasy Impact: Williams has a good chance to continue his impressive play this week against the Carolina Panthers and their lack of a pass defense.
The Panthers are giving up the sixth-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers in 2016. A player from the position group has found the end zone during five of Carolina’s last six games.
Yahoo! is projecting Williams to end Sunday with five catches for 68 yards and one touchdown. His matchup and recent play should be more than enough for fantasy owners to start him this week.
