For the past three years, quarterback Robert Griffin III has been trying to recapture the magic he displayed on the field during his 2012 rookie season in the NFL. After leading Washington to nine wins and playoff appearance in his first season, Griffin has won just five games combined in the three years since.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 14: Is Robert Griffin III worth a shot?
Cleveland’s quarterback will start under center this Sunday for the first time since Week 1. We explore the fantasy implications.

This season was supposed to be a new start for the quarterback as he is now a member of the Cleveland Browns. But any hope that the the Browns had for Griffin was quickly shattered after the quarterback suffered a serious shoulder injury during the team’s first game of the year.
Fantasy Impact: Not only will Cleveland’s quarterback be trying to win his first game of 2016, he will be attempting to lead the actual team to their first win of the season as well when the Browns take on the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday.
The Bengals defense is giving up the 10th most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks in 2016, but they have been playing much better recently. In their last three games, Cincinnati’s defense has forced five interceptions and only allowed the position group to throw for a total of two touchdowns.
At this point, Griffin is not worth the risk for fantasy owners to insert him into their starting lineups and he likely will not be for the remainder of the season.
