For a team that has just one win in 2016, the San Francisco 49ers haven’t had many bright spots.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 15: Jeremy Kerley or Quinton Patton may have sleeper capabilities
San Francisco’s wide receivers have a decent chance for an impressive day against the Falcons. We explore the fantasy implications.

But despite their struggles, 49ers wide receiver Jeremy Kerley has been one of the most consistent players on the team’s roster. Kerley currently leads San Francisco in catches (48), receiving yards (516), and passing targets (91).
Fellow 49ers pass catcher Quinton Patton is right behind Kerley in all three of those categories, but he is also still looking for his first touchdown catch this season. Could this be the week?
Fantasy impact: This Sunday, the 49ers will be without wide receiver Torrey Smith, meaning Kerley and Patton will likely see more passes thrown their way. Plus, the San Francisco pass catchers get to face an Atlanta Falcons defense that has not been anything close to amazing in 2016.
The Falcons have given up the 10th-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers this season — in Atlanta’s last five games, six players from the position group have ended their day with five or more catches.
Neither 49ers receiver has any guarantee for a big day on Sunday. But fantasy owners who can afford to take a risk on a player this week may want to go with one of the two.
