A fight broke out near on the field near the end of Sunday’s game between the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers. Steelers offensive guard Ramon Foster started the shoving after seeing Giants players appear to bend the neck of running back Le’Veon Bell on a running play.
Giants, Steelers fight after Le’Veon Bell gets tackled on his neck
Things got chippy near the end of Giants-Steelers after Steelers players took offense to what appeared to be a dirty tackle on Le’Veon Bell.
The Steelers were leading by 14 points at the time of the scuffle. Big leads in garbage time tend to lead to chippiness, but the joint tackle by Giants defenders Devon Kennard and Kelvin Sheppard appeared overly aggressive on replay.
It’s not surprising that Foster came to his teammate’s defense.
