For the 11th straight game this postseason the Penguins outshot their opponent, this time holding the Sharks to just 22 shots in Game 2 while racking up 30 on Martin Jones.

San Jose needs to figure out how to match the Penguins’ speed. And, failing that, they need to start capitalizing on their scoring chances. Coach Peter DeBoer hasn’t figured out the right matchups to slow down the Penguins’ “HBK” line, and that needs to change for the Sharks to avoid a 3-0 hole. But San Jose can take solace in the fact each game was decided by a goal, and late. If they can start converting the opportunities the Penguins give them, they have a chance.
