Watch Usain Bolt and Andre De Grasse laugh their way to a 1-2 finish in the 200m semifinal

Bolt always seems to have the best time as he’s racing, and this time De Grasse joined in the fun.

Nobody has more fun on the track than Jamaica’s Usain Bolt, who is often seen laughing and smiling as he obliterates his competition in every single race he runs. Today, in the men’s 200m semifinal, Bolt’s friendly rival Andre De Grasse joined in the fun.

Bolt finished first in his field, with a time of 19.78. De Grasse very nearly caught up to him, crossing the finish line in 19.80, establishing a new record for his native Canada. De Grasse, in this race, looked like he was having every bit as much fun as Bolt.

The pair didn’t just share a laugh at the end of the race. They laughed throughout the last several meters and still somehow managed to finish first and second, ahead of every other competitor in the semifinals.

Earlier in the Rio Games, De Grasse shared the podium with Bolt following the men’s 100m finals. Bolt took first with a time of 9.81 seconds. Justin Gatlin of the United States won silver, and De Grasse won bronze.

We’ll see if these two have as much fun running the men’s 200m final Thursday evening.
