The Cleveland Browns are being cautious with first-round rookie wide receiver Core Coleman, who will not be playing in Thursday’s second preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Corey Coleman missing 2nd preseason game but should be ready for fantasy owners in Week 1
The Browns are resting their first-round rookie as he rehabs a hamstring injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Coleman has been dealing with a hamstring injury that kept him out of training camp, but he returned to practice on Monday. By all accounts, Coleman should be good to go for the regular season opener in a few weeks.
The Browns drafted Coleman No. 15 overall after a storied career at Baylor, where he caught 74 passes for 1,363 yards and 20 touchdowns in the 2015 season.
Fantasy impact: The injury isn’t an immediate concern, although it would be nice to see Coleman get some live game reps in the preseason at some point. Nevertheless, Coleman is expected to play a big role in the offense and should remain a key player even after Josh Gordon returns from suspension in Week 5. Coleman should be the first rookie receiver off the board in most fantasy drafts and has strong upside if Robert Griffin III ever rediscovers his old form.
