Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is back in practice after being activated from the PUP list on Tuesday. Despite being 10 months removed from a torn ACL, Charles’ recovery seems to have gone well and he got in more work than expected on Thursday, taking part in 9-on-7 drills.
Jamaal Charles getting more work in camp, should be ready to help fantasy owners
The 29-year-old’s recovery from ACL surgery appears to be going smoothly. We break down the fantasy implications.

Charles was on track for another fantastic season before a torn ACL ended it early in Week 5. It’s the second ACL injury of his career, although this latest injury happened on a different knee. Now 29 years old, Charles looks to be on track for Week 1.
Fantasy impact: With no setbacks in his recovery, Charles should head back into rock-solid RB1 territory. Although there are concerns about his age, along with the presence of Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West, we haven’t seen any indications that Charles is doomed to a committee. He’ll still be the top dog in Kansas City’s backfield and has a good chance to outperform his second-round ADP price.
