Friday night’s prime time Olympics coverage on NBC will feature the last race of Usain Bolt’s legendary Olympic career, as he goes for gold as the anchor leg of the Jamaican 4x100-meter relay team.

Bolt won gold in the men’s 100-meter final with a time of 9.81, despite battling a hamstring injury over the past few months. Bolt and his countrymen will face off against Team USA, featuring Bolt’s closest competition, Justin Gatlin. Jamaica not only won the 4x100-meter relay in London, but the quartet of Bolt, Yohan Blake, Michael Frater and Nesta Carter broke their own world record of 37.04 doing so, finishing with a time of 36.84 seconds.

The United States team of Trell Kimmons, Gatlin, Tyson Gay and Ryan Bailey not only missed out on gold in London in 2012, but after winning silver, they suffered the indignity of disqualification when Gay tested positive for a banned substance. Team USA will look for redemption on Friday.

In the pole vault, reigning Olympic champion Jenn Suhr will try to defend her title, though it won’t be easy in a field stacked with talent. The United States will also look to continue its reign in the women’s 4x100-meter relay event after winning gold with a time of 40.82 seconds in the London Games.

The qualifying rounds for the men’s 10-meter platform diving event take place Friday afternoon, and will be re-aired by NBC in prime time. Team USA’s David Boudia hopes to earn a spot in the finals to attempt to become the first American to repeat as an Olympic champion in this event since Greg Louganis accomplished this feat in Los Angeles in 1984 and Seoul in 1988.
