Cleveland Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III gave a solid performance in their 24-13 loss to the Atlanta Falcons Thursday night. The battle-tested starter looked confident, completing 6 of 8 passes for 96 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 36 yards on three scrambles with no turnovers, a much improved effort from his start in preseason Week 1. Griffin showed he can throw the deep ball, hitting Terrelle Pryor with a 50-yard touchdown pass early in the first quarter. He followed that up with a 29-yard touchdown throw to Gary Barnidge later in the half.
Robert Griffin III has big night in Browns loss, fantasy value rising
RGIII gives an impressive performance in preseason Week 2. We look at the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Spin:
Browns coach Hue Jackson is committed to RGIII and this performance only helped to boost the team’s confidence in their starter. However, this is the first anyone is seeing remnants of the old standout rookie RGIII. His improvement from preseason Week 1 could mean he’s on the right track, but given Griffin’s track record of inconsistency, consider him a QB2 option at best for now.
