The Miami Dolphins 2012 first round pick, Ryan Tannehill, may finally be paying off as he showed flashes of talent in the Dolphins’ Week 2 preseason loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Tannehill completed 12 of 20 passes for 162 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. He was able to maintain poise in the pocket, despite pressure, whilst making accurate passes to several of his targets. Tannehill’s rapport with Kenny Stills and Jarvis Landry in particular looked to be developing quite well.
Ryan Tannehill shows flashes of talent in preseason Week 2, fantasy value on the rise
Tannehill performs well in Week 2, despite a team loss. We break down the fantasy implications.

It would appear as if the arrival of Adam Gase has set Tannehill up for a renaissance after the last three years of average-at-best performances from the young QB. While Tannehill performed very well in Week 2 of the preseason, we shouldn’t be so quick to forget that he struggled significantly in Week 1, only completing 2 of 4 passes for 8 yards.
Fantasy Impact: Ryan Tannehill’s value will undoubtedly improve with the additions of Coach Gase and continued development from second year WR DeVante Parker. However, it is still too early to predict the magnitude of this improvement due to inconsistent play on field so far this preseason, and as of right now Tannehill remains a low-end QB1 at best.
