New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz will have to wait another week to get back on the field, according to NFL.com’s Kimberly Jones. The former Pro Bowler is planning to practice on Monday and hopes to participate in the Giants’ third preseason game.
Victor Cruz inactive for preseason Week 2, should not change fantasy value
New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz has been ruled out for tonight’s game against the Buffalo Bills. We look at the fantasy implications.

Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. will be making their preseason debuts on Saturday, but Cruz has been dealing with a sore groin that will force him out of the lineup. The Giants will look to get rookie Sterling Shepard more reps in Cruz’s absence. 2013 was the last year Cruz was able to put together a productive season, when he caught 73 balls for 998 yards and four touchdowns.
Fantasy Spin: Cruz has only played in six games over the last two years, so the Giants are not counting on him this season. He could make a big a impact this season off the waiver wire if he can stay healthy with Odell Beckham Jr. swallowing up most coverages.
