Denver Broncos tight end Virgil Green is off to a blazing start to his 2016 campaign. After going 4-for-4 on targets and racking up 57 receiving yards in his preseason Week 2 game, Green now has seven receptions for 83 yards on only seven targets this preseason. He is making a strong case as a sleeper tight end.
2016 fantasy football sleepers: Virgil Green emerging with 2nd strong outing
Virgil Green had a second quality preseason outing Saturday night, and is emerging as a fantasy tight end sleeper.

Featuring a backfield with plenty of question marks, the Broncos’ coaching staff surely needs a security net in place for its quarterbacks. Green seems to be taking that role by storm. The tight end is quickly emerging as a reliable and safe pass catcher for the Broncos’ new-look offense. Featuring a new quarterback competition, the defending Super Bowl Champions are doing everything in their power to build on last season’s success and remain in strong contention to return to the big game.
Fantasy Projections: Green’s stock both for his team and fantasy owners is certainly on the rise. Green is showing owners that he has the potential to be a solid sleeper option for a TE1 position. With the equal amount of receptions as targets, Green is emerging as a model of consistency. A perfect fit for a sleeper selection at tight end. As defenses try to exploit the quarterback situation in Denver, Green’s fantasy value will only increase throughout the regular season.
