Following the Chicago Bears’ second preseason game, incumbent starting running back Jeremy Langford was seen wearing a walking boot at practice over the weekend. According to ChicagoBears.com, head coach John Fox said Langford’s foot was “landed on” in Thursday’s preseason game.
Jeremy Langford spotted in walking boot, fantasy value in question
Chicago Bears running back Jeremy Langford was spotted wearing a walking boot on his left foot at practice. We look at the fantasy implications.

Fox went on to say “He got sore after the game. You can call [sitting him] precautionary, but it’s just doing what’s smart.” It does not sound like Fox and his staff are too worried about this injury, but you never want to have lingering foot injuries in the middle of the preseason.
Fantasy Spin: Langford is the clear No. 1 running back on the Bears’ depth chart and looked impressive when Matt Forte was injured last season. Fox most likely won’t have Langford play again until Week 1 to make sure he is healthy for the start of the season. Backups Ka’Deem Carey and Jacquizz Rodgers should see an increase in workload the rest of the preseason.
