Inclement weather washed out all of Sunday’s action at the 2016 Little League World Series. That means four winner’s bracket showdowns and a consolation game between eliminated teams will have to wait until Monday.
Little League World Series scores and bracket 2016: Rain washes out Sunday’s play
Unplayable field conditions postponed Sunday’s games at the Little League World Series.

“Due to extremely poor outfield conditions along with a substantial amount of water on the Little League International complex, we believe that the conditions for both the players on the field and the thousands of fans who come to enjoy the Little League Baseball World Series would be unsafe conditions,” said Little League International Tournament Director Patrick Wilson in a statement.
Thunderstorms swept through Williamsport prior to day four of the tournament, leaving the complex’s fields soggy and sloppy. All of the day’s events will be pushed back to August 22, including a hyped showdown between two of the bracket’s most powerful offenses when Bowling Green, KY meets Johnston, IA at 8 p.m ET. That battle of pint-sized powerhouses will be broadcast live in primetime on ESPN.
Monday’s winners will advance to the winner’s bracket finals, where they’ll be just one win away from a spot in next Sunday’s Little League Baseball World Series Championship. They’ll also get a day off on Tuesday, allowing sore arms and worn bullpens some extra time to recuperate. The losers will bounce down to the elimination bracket for a win-or-go-home date on Tuesday. There, teams from New England, the West, Mexico and the Caribbean will be waiting.
