Cincinnati Bengals’ tight end Tyler Eifert attempted to jog Monday, according to Bengals.com editor Geoff Hobson. This marked his first time on the field since suffering a ankle injury in the Pro Bowl in January. Eifert had surgery in May and will likely not see any action in the preseason. Eifert told Hobson the his ankle “feels pretty good” and he has been running on the treadmill in the pool.
Tyler Eifert long way from returning to action, fantasy outlook low
Tyler Eifert attempts to jog for first time since surgery. We look at fantasy implications.

Still, there is no word on Eifert’s expected return. Whether he will be available for the start of the season is unknown.
Fantasy Spin:
Eifert has a long way to go to return to Pro Bowl form if he is just now trying to jog. Do not expect to see Eifert Week 1 or maybe even for the first couple weeks of the regular season. Eifert could be a threat later in the season once he is fully recovered though. He had a team-high 13 touchdowns in 2015, worth noting as he suffered injuries late in the season. Eifert will go late in drafts if he is picked up at all but, he is worth keeping an eye on for a in-season pick up.
