San Francisco 49ers’ No. 2 quarterback Colin Kaepernick returned to action for the first time since Aug. 10. Kaepernick sat out of five practices and the first two preseason outings due to fatigue in his throwing arm. Monday, Kaepernick participated in full team warmups throwing passes alongside Blaine Gabbert, according to media on hand. His full participation was unknown as the remainder of the practice was closed to the public. According to 49ers head coach Chip Kelly, the plan is for Kaepernick to see his first preseason action against Green Bay on Friday. This will be Kaepernick’s first in-game snaps since Nov. 1.
Colin Kaepernick on track to return, still fantasy outlook bleak
Colin Kaepernick could see the field this week. We look at the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Spin:
Kaepernick’s output has been trending down for quite some time. He is not expected to win the starting job from Blaine Gabbert by the start of Week 1. Also, whether Kaepernick will see regular season action is still up in the air under Chip Kelly’s unique offense. To date, there is really no reason for a fantasy owner to draft or pick up Kaepernick this season.
