The Detroit Lions expect to have Eric Ebron when the regular season begins, according to ESPN’s Adam Caplan. Ebron should face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1, and may even play in the fourth preseason game against the Buffalo Bills.
Eric Ebron expected to play in Week 1, fantasy value still low
We break down the fantasy football implications of Eric Ebron likely playing in Week 1 of the regular season.

The third-year tight end could be in line for a big season in the Lions offense with Calvin Johnson now retired. Just having Ebron return for Week 1 would be great news after his scary leg/ankle injury.
That has kept Ebron sidelined for most of training camp and the first two preseason games. He will likely miss the third one against the Baltimore Ravens.
Fantasy Spin: If Ebron is on the field Week 1, that is a nice boost to his already-low fantasy value. Ebron’s current ADP has him going towards the end of fantasy drafts, but that should rise now that he shouldn’t miss Week 1.
A healthy Ebron should be a solid TE2, which is great value if you’re spending one of your final picks on him. Potentially getting to see him play in the fourth preseason game could increase his value a bit further.
