Trevor Siemian may have just had a setback in his bid to be the Denver Broncos starting quarterback. Siemian did not fully practice Tuesday due to a sore shoulder, according to Mike Klis of 9News.com.
Trevor Siemian has shoulder injury, fantasy value still low
We break down the fantasy football implications of Siemian dealing with a shoulder injury.

Klis did note that Siemian was able to take snaps in team drills that featured only running plays. Head coach Gary Kubiak later said that Siemian’s issue is a shoulder injury suffered against the San Francisco 49ers.
It happened when Siemian threw an interception and attempted to make the tackle. If healthy, Siemian will be the starting quarterback in the Broncos’ third preseason game, which comes Saturday against the Los Angeles Rams.
As long as Siemian is healthy enough to play then, this should not affect his chances of being named the starter for Week 1 of the regular season.
Fantasy Spin: For now, neither Siemian nor Mark Sanchez have any fantasy relevance until we see what they can do in Kubiak’s offense. This is a tight race for the starting job, and whoever wins it could become a decent backup quarterback for your fantasy team in the regular season.
Until then, do not risk spending a draft pick on Siemian or Sanchez.
