Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is entering his third season with the team and his familiarity with their offensive schemes is continuing to flourish. Raiders’ offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave told the media on Wednesday that this year Carr is “able to take it to the next level, to take it to the graduate level from undergrad, where he was last year.”
Derek Carr mastering the Raiders’ offense, could emerge as a top fantasy QB in 2016
The Raiders’ young quarterback is progressing very well heading into the 2016 season. We explore the fantasy implications.

Musgrave also added that Carr’s improvements have allowed him to “solve his own problems almost before the problems emerge at the line of scrimmage.”
Fantasy impact: Heading into the start of the 2016 season, Carr is thought of as a low-level QB1. His current ADP has him being selected by fantasy owners in the ninth round.
However, if Carr is able to have another 30-plus touchdown season in 2016, his fantasy status could quickly evolve into a top-level QB1 before the start of 2017. For now, he is a good option for fantasy owners who would rather use their high picks on other skill positions before selecting a quarterback.
