Reports surfaced Friday that Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert is looking to return from injury potentially as early as Week 3, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport. He is reportedly looking at a time frame of Week 4-6, and the team will play it safe.
Tyler Eifert targeting return, fantasy value steady
Tyler Eifert could return as early as Week 3. We look at fantasy implications.

The Bengals Pro Bowl TE just began jogging on Monday since suffering an ankle injury in the Pro Bowl on Jan. 25. Eifert had surgery on his ankle in May and will miss the entire preseason. He told the press Monday his ankle “feels good.”
Fantasy Spin:
Eifert’s return seems quite impressive considering the TE just began jogging this week. The Bengals are giving a window of three to six weeks for the fourth-year TE’s return. Injury notwithstanding, Eifert has a lot of upside. He was the top-scoring TE in 2015 while suffering through injuries. Expect Eifert to still go late in fantasy drafts. He will definitely be valuable for owners at some point in the season if his recovery goes well.
