Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Breshad Perriman told reporters on Tuesday that he expects to play in the team’s final preseason game against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday. The Ravens’ receiver is recovering from a partially torn ACL he suffered earlier this summer in addition to recovering from PCL surgery that kept him out of the entire 2015 season.
Breshad Perriman expects to play Thursday, fantasy value low for now
The Ravens’ young receiver is hoping to play in actual game for the first time in his career on Thursday. We explore the fantasy implications.
UPDATE: Perriman is expected to play in Thursday's game according to BaltimoreRavens.com's Garret Downing on Wednesday.
Fantasy impact: For 2016, Perriman’s ADP only has him landing in fantasy leagues made up of 14 teams. For those larger leagues where fantasy owners are forced to take more chances on some of the unknown commodities within the NFL, Perriman is being taken in the final round or two.
After being selected in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft (26th overall) by Baltimore, missing his entire rookie season was definitely a setback for the young receiver. But he is hoping to prove to the rest of the league this year that he was worthy of the Ravens’ first round selection.
If he is able to remain healthy, Perriman could possibly turn into one of the top waiver wire pickups for fantasy owners as the season goes on.
