Welcome to Week 2 of the Daily Fantasy season. With one week in the books, prices are starting to make corrections, but not quickly enough to prevent us from finding some nice values on FanDuel. This article looks at some of the projected lesser-owned plays at tight end who could provide huge boosts to your tournament lineups, as well as some trap plays to avoid.

PLAY

Gary Barnidge $6,000 (Cleveland Browns vs. Baltimore Ravens)

Will anyone be on Barnidge this week after his goose-egg against the Eagles? They should be. Everything changed this week for Barnidge, and in a good way. With Josh McCown taking over for the injured RGIII at quarterback, Barnidge gets reunited with his favorite passer. There is every reason to think he can get back to his best days with McCown keying on him and getting him the ball. The Ravens are certainly not a defense to fear. This could be a great play to pivot away from the masses.

Jacob Tamme $5,100 (Atlanta Falcons at Oakland Raiders)

Tamme soaked up eight targets last week, converting them into six catches for 51 yards. Against the porous Raiders defense, there’s no reason to think he can’t match or surpass those numbers this week. He is super cheap and should be super low-owned. That’s value in a nutshell.

Kyle Rudolph $5,000 (Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers)

Julius Thomas had a solid game against the Packers last week, amid many high-quality receiving options. The Vikings have one such option in Stefon Diggs, so the opportunities should be there for Rudolph on a day when the Vikings should be supremely fired up, playing their rivals in the first regular season game in their new building.

NAY

Rob Gronkowski $8,700 (New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins)

Even if he plays this week, Gronk still isn’t going to be 100 percent with his hamstring injury and we have absolutely no idea how he’ll work with Jimmy Garoppolo. There’s just no way you can justify laying out $8,700 at tight end on such a question mark.
