Philadelphia Eagles

Start ‘em

After Will Fuller and DeAndre Hopkins combined for 161 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Bears’ thin secondary, Jordan Matthews has a dream of a matchup. Matthews should rightfully be force-fed targets without Zach Ertz in the lineup, and could be in line for an encore performance to his Week 1 clinic. He’s a WR2 with WR1 upside this week.

Ryan Mathews has a tougher matchup, however, against a Bears front seven that limited Lamar Miller to 3.79 yards per carry. Despite this, Mathews is the clear lead back and his usage will put him firmly in RB2 territory as long as he remains healthy.

Start ‘em?

Now that the Eagles are down one pass catcher, Darren Sproles could have a bigger role in the passing game than his seven touches in Week 1. Expect an uptick in targets, but he only presents fringe flex appeal in PPR leagues.

Sit ‘em

With Ertz out of action, it’s tough to trust Carson Wentz despite a fabulous NFL debut and a promising matchup. He is a low-end QB2 for Week 2. Nelson Agholor is as volatile as they come and needs more consistency before fantasy owners can trust him at such a deep position.

Chicago Bears

Start ‘em

Alshon Jeffery will be a weekly WR1 assuming he’s healthy, as he demonstrated his value by torching the Texans for 105 yards despite being held catch-less in the second half. His matchup gets easier against Jalen Mills and Nolan Carroll on Monday night, and Jeffery can be penned into lineups in all formats. Jeremy Langford also deserves high-floor RB2 consideration as the lone wolf in the Bears’ backfield.

Sit ‘em

Low usage and inefficiency doom the fantasy value of Kevin White and Eddie Royal until further notice, and Zach Miller could also stand to be more involved before fantasy owners trust him with a start. Jay Cutler’s instability is well-documented, and fantasy owners can turn elsewhere for a capable fantasy quarterback.
