Fantasy football rankings, Week 1: Quarterbacks
The 2016 season is upon, which means it is time for fantasy football rankings. We present our consensus quarterback rankings for Week 1.

We all knew Minnesota was going to make a move at some point. We just thought it would be for a backup like Mark Sanchez or Colin Kaepernick. It turned out to be neither of them. The Vikings went all in and grabbed Sam Bradford out of Philadelphia. At this point, we’re unsure as to whether Bradford or Shaun Hill will start this week. Neither are worthy of a start because the game plan is sure to be run heavy.
That trade ushered in the beginning of the Carson Wentz era for the Philadelphia Eagles. Wentz has a lot of question marks but faces an enticing matchup in the Cleveland Browns. Wentz has a decent group of weapons around him. Jordan Matthews has great potential entering his third season. Nelson Agholor and Dorial Green-Beckham have a lot of unrealized potential. Zach Ertz and Darren Sproles provide Wentz with some easy targets. If I had the opportunity to start him as QB2 this week, I would take the plunge.
On the injury front, there is not much to report. Teddy Bridgewater is out for the season with his knee injury. Tony Romo will miss eight to 10 weeks but will not be put on IR to start the season. Lastly, Jared Goff is day-to-day with a tailbone contusion. He’s currently the third string QB and may not even dress for Week 1.
My sleeper for this week is Dak Prescott. His first game as starter comes at home against the New York Giants. The Giants have tried to improve their defense but should be able to be taken advantage of. The offense will have balance with Ezekiel Elliott in the backfield, but he also presents as a rather inviting target in the passing game. The Dallas Cowboys defense has problems but that should cause them to crank up their offense. I think he’ll pass for 270 yards passing, one passing touchdown, and 30 rushing yards.
