The Cincinnati Bengals are banged up at tight end, but Tyler Kroft should be ready for Week 1. Kroft returned to practice on Monday and went through Wednesday’s session as well, according to Bengals.com reporter Geoff Hobson.

Kroft is recovering from a sprained knee in training camp that sidelined him for a month. It cost him all of the preseason, though he should still start at tight end while Tyler Eifert recovers from ankle surgery. Kroft was mostly a blocking tight end during his rookie year, but is expected to take on a bigger pass-catching role this year.
Fantasy Spin: As long as Kroft suits up in Week 1, he should get enough targets to have a productive fantasy game vs. the New York Jets. Andy Dalton and the Bengals offense like featuring the tight end, but Kroft is still too unproven to warrant starting this week.
Kroft is barely inside the top-30 tight end rankings for Week 1. Unless your starter is out this week, Kroft should remain on your bench.
