Giants head coach Ben McAdoo reinstated cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie Tuesday, after suspending him for leaving the team, the team announced on Tuesday.
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie reinstated by Giants after 1-game suspension
The Giants will get back a key defender for their matchup against Seattle.

On Sunday night’s broadcast on NBC, Al Michaels said he was told by McAdoo there were four separate incidents that involved Rodgers-Cromartie leading to the suspension.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that things escalated when he injured his leg in Week 4 and was pulled from the game:
He came to the sidelines and saw his backup on the field, wanted to continue, but was pulled off the field harshly by the coaches.
He reacted in a demonstrative way, throwing equipment. He was sent to the locker room. An argument ensued post-game. On Tuesday, he was informed he would be inactive today. On Wednesday at the facility, with his situation not yet resolved with McAdoo, he was suspended and left the facility.
Since his suspension, Rapoport said that DRC met with many people close to him, as well as former Giants wide receiver David Tyree, who serves as the team’s director of player development.
Despite all of the reported issues, Landon Collins was supportive of DRC after the game against the Broncos, and said via NJ.com, “My man is coming back Monday.”
“His mindset is he just wants to be out here,” Collins added. “We always have our chant, ‘See ball, get ball.’ He sent us a group message, ‘See ball, go get ball.’ And we all replied back, ‘See ball, get ball.’”
The Giants are coming off a Sunday Night Football win against the Broncos that nobody expected them to win. The Giants went into the game depleted offensively with injuries, missing both Brandon Marshall and Odell Beckham Jr. Yet they were able to come away with an impressive road victory, 20-10.
The Giants will hope to carry the momentum and welcome back Rodgers-Cromartie into Sunday as they welcome Seattle to MetLife Stadium.
