The Raiders lost to the Ravens without starting quarterback Derek Carr on Sunday, 30-17, and after the game, Donald Penn got into a shouting match with a fan. But there was more to it than just that.
Raiders’ Donald Penn gets in confrontation with fan trying to extort him for money
A fan did his best to get Penn to fight him, but his attempt was unsuccessful.

Penn got out of his car, as the fan is shouting at him. In a video of the incident, the only thing separating Penn and the fan were stadium security guards. Expletives are exchanged between the two.
The fan also called him “$21 mil” in reference to the contract extension he signed last month.
Penn played it cool, and eventually went back to his car and went about his business, avoiding any serious conflict.
He would later tweet about the incident on Sunday:
Then on Monday, Penn revealed that there was more to the confrontation than the fan just throwing a bottle at his car.
Penn tweeted screenshots that show the fan was hoping to get Penn to fight him in order to extort him. The fan commented, “Ima be on national tv just like that dude that got punched by draymond green.”
Penn is in his 11th season in the NFL, and his fourth with the Raiders after starting his career with the Buccaneers. The team has lost three straight, and will be hoping to get quarterback Carr back soon.
For now, it seems Penn and the Raiders have avoided any other issues as the season progresses, despite the fan’s best attempt.
