Amazon’s ‘All or Nothing’ will show the Rams awful 4-12 season that got Jeff Fisher fired

The firing of Jeff Fisher promises to be the highlight of season two of the Amazon series.

Amazon’s All or Nothing is back for a second season, and this time it will be the Los Angeles Rams under the microscope, the series announced on Twitter.

A year ago, the series made its debut with a documentation of the Arizona Cardinals 2015 season, providing a close look, in conjunction with NFL Films, at the week-to-week grind of an NFL season. While the series contrasted with HBO’s Hard Knocks, those differences will be highlighted even more with the Rams, who were the subject of Hard Knocks prior to the 2016 season.

HBO showed a team that was trying to groom No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff and showed coach Jeff Fisher, who was determined that he was “not f------ going 7-9.” For the most part though, it was boring.

What Amazon will get to show is the Rams eventually getting forced to turn to Goff due to the struggles of Case Keenum. The most promising part of the show is that it likely gives an inside look at the moment Fisher was fired in his fifth season as the team’s coach. Sorry for the spoiler.

The series’ look at the Cardinals in season one was a fun and unique glimpse at one of the best teams in the NFL whose season eventually culminated in a playoff run. Season two will show a 4-12 team dealing with the frustrations — like Aaron Donald’s Week 1 ejection and helmet spike — and the ramifications of being one of the league’s worst.

While the first season was anchored by the colorful language and coaching of Bruce Arians, the challenge for Amazon is finding what HBO couldn’t: personality on the Rams.

“Since bringing pro football back to the Los Angeles region last year after a 21-year absence, we have been committed to giving NFL fans an up-close view of our journey,” Rams executive vice president of football operations Kevin Demoff said, via Variety. “We are pleased that NFL Films captured this important chapter in the NFL’s history and are looking forward to working with Amazon to bring this behind-the-scenes look at our team to their customers.”

There is no release date yet for the second season of All or Nothing, but the first season was released July 1, 2016, so it’s likely that we’ll have to wait until summer again.
