Jay Cutler reached out to the Houston Texans, wanting to express his interest in playing for the team. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Texans wouldn’t return his phone calls.
Jay Cutler wanted to play for the Texans, who refused to return his phone calls
Perhaps Cutler should have tried to text.

Cutler is going to be 34 next season and is coming off the worst season of his career. He was limited to five starts because of injuries, going 1-4 in those starts as the Bears had a dismal 3-13 season.
Just a season before, Cutler had the best quarterback rating of his career, while also dropping his interception rate. Retirement rumors were swirling after Kristin Cavallari posted a picture of Cutler’s butt, enjoying a nice vacation.
The Texans have needed a quarterback, especially after trading away Brock Osweiler during the offseason to the Cleveland Browns. They eventually met their quarterback needs during the NFL draft, taking Clemson’s Deshaun Watson at No. 12 overall.
Teams like the Jets, Browns, and Broncos could perhaps hit up Cutler, but it seems pretty bad if the Texans wouldn’t even return his calls, considering how awful their quarterback situation was.
