Actress won the $250,000 2017 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes in a photo finish on a sloppy track, running the 1-1/8-mile course in 1:51.87. She entered the race at 12/1 odds. Ridden by Nik Juarez and trained by Nik Servis, she paid $27.60 to win. Lights of Medina finished in second, and Corporate Queen followed a bit behind the pair in third.

Actress entered with just a maiden to her name, but the daughter of Tapit brought a good pedigree to the track at Pimlico on Friday. However, her victory was not a total surprise, as she was called a longshot to win by Chicago Now entering the race.

None of the three favorites had much luck. Moana, trained by Todd Pletcher, had the best odds, at 4/1.
