The 142nd edition of the Preakness Stakes will take place at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore on Saturday, and Always Dreaming is the horse all eyes will watch in an attempt to become horse racing’s 13th Triple Crown winner. According to Bovada, he has 3/1 odds of doing so.

Always Dreaming, the winner of the 2017 Kentucky Derby, is the favorite to win the Preakness Stakes with 4/5 morning line odds. Always Dreaming will start out of the fourth gate, looking to win another marquee race. Todd Pletcher and John Velazquez, Always Dreaming’s trainer and jockey, should have the horse ready to face the other nine thoroughbreds in this race.

Other horses in this race are: Classic Empire, Multiplier, Cloud Computing, Hence, Gunnevera, Term of Art, Senior Investment, Looking At Lee, Conquest Mo Money.

OddsShark.com assigned Classic Empire 3/1 odds, and the horse will run out of the fifth spot. Multiplier has a 40-1 chance, and Cloud Computing, who finished third in the Wood Memorial (G2) at Aqueduct, has a 14-1 chance of coming out victorious, according to OddsShark.com.

Hence and Gunnevera both competed in the Kentucky Derby but finished in 11th and seventh place, respectively. Hence has a 20-1 shot at winning the Preakness Stakes, and Gunnevera was assigned 16-1.

Term of Art, who finished seventh in the Santa Anita Derby, has a 33-1 chance of winning the race. And Senior Investment, the winner of the Lexington Stakes (G3), has a 33-1 chance. Conquest Mo Money, the runner-up in the Arkansas Derby, has 18-1 odds. Lastly, Looking At Lee, trained by Steve Asmussen, has a 10-1 chance of winning the Preakness Stakes.

The last Triple Crown winner came in 2015 when American Pharoah became the 12th. Before that, you had to go all the way back to 1978, when Affirmed beat Alydar in all three races for the feat.
