Practicing can get boring for punters and kickers. While every other position gets to insert some freshness into their routine on a daily basis, it’s really the same activity over and over again for specialists.
Marquette King is punting eggs, bologna, and whatever else he can get his hands on
Marquette King punted a whole grocery list because he just does weird things.

Kudos to Oakland Raiders punter Marquette King for continuing to hit the practice field in a way that’s uniquely Marquette King.
On Tuesday, the NFL posted a video on Twitter that shows King punting a variety of things that aren’t a football. Basically, all of them exploded:
The full list of items that exploded off the foot of King: Lettuce, chicken, eggs, piñata, bologna, marshmallow, glitter egg, burger, sub sandwich, cupcake, roses, hot dogs, grapes, cherry pie, cake, donut, milkshake, and money.
Judging by the field and what King’s wearing, it appears to be the same day the punter wished Raiders quarterback Derek Carr a happy birthday in March by punting a cake.
Previously in King practice habits this offseason, the Raiders punter dressed like the green Power Ranger and launched a ball into orbit. He also punted a ball and did some skeet shooting with it, attempting to shoot it out of the air with a shotgun.
King’s 48.6 yards per punt during the 2016 season was the third-best mark in the NFL, so whatever he’s doing is working. Keep doing you, Marquette.
