Tyvis Powell was cut by the Browns on Friday, and that’s bad enough. To add insult to injury, Powell was also scheduled to throw out the first pitch at the Cleveland Indians game on Friday night:

The Browns didn’t know about Powell’s plans for Friday evening when they announced they were moving on from him, according to Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot.

Powell, who played in eight games for the Seattle Seahawks last season, seems to be taking things in stride:

Despite being cut, Powell does still plan to throw out the first pitch.
