Temple’s only highlight during its 43-7 loss on the road to the No. 21 USF Bulls was actually a Piesman moment. Late in the second quarter, Owls defensive lineman Jacob Martin gave his team its first touchdown of the night when he strip-sacked Bulls quarterback Quinton Flowers and returned it to the house.
Temple’s entire highlight reel vs. USF was this defensive play
Otherwise, the Bulls rolled over the Owls.

The score cut the Bulls’ lead to 20-7, but the Bulls scored 23 unanswered points in the second half to put any hopes of a Temple comeback away. The game as a whole was well, pretty lopsided to say the least.
Despite this slip-up from Flowers, the quarterback finished with two rushing touchdowns and 96 yards passing. The Bulls finished with nine penalties, the first seven coming in the first half alone
With the win, Charlie Strong’s Bulls are 4-0, with a road game against East Carolina coming up next week.
Martin is a senior who finished with 18 tackles and 2 1/2 sacks last season. For a play to be Piesman-worthy, the only requirement is that the player who scores the touchdown has to be a lineman, for those of you thinking Martin looks in very good shape. This was a great heads-up from him to not only strip-sack Flowers but then successfully run it back to the house.
Unfortunately, that’s really the only positive for Temple on the night.
