Wednesday morning, Michael Bennett shared his story where Las Vegas police pointed a gun at his head, put a knee into his back, and handcuffed him so tight that his fingers went numb the night of the Mayweather-McGregor fight.

Video of Michael Bennett being handcuffed by police was released by TMZ.


TMZ released the video of the incident, that shows Bennett laying on the ground with an officer over his back. Bennet can be heard yelling, “I wasn’t doing nothing man! I was here with my friends! They told us to get out, everybody ran!”
Bennett posted a letter on Twitter, describing the entire incident, including how he has hired Oakland civil rights attorney John Burris to file a lawsuit for the violation of his rights.
Bennett has been participating in national anthem protests by raising a closed fist since Colin Kaepernick began his in the 2016 preseason, and he began sitting during 2017. The reason for the protests that started a year ago was because of incidents like the one that happened to him in Las Vegas two weeks ago.
