Migos released their third album on Friday, Culture II. It’s the follow up to 2017’s instant classic, Culture, which featured banger after banger that will be played for the remainder of time. It’s the highest form of art, if I do say so myself.
What Migos’ ‘Culture II’ could mean for the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII
Hint: It’s good.

Culture was released Jan. 27 of last year, before the Atlanta Falcons (Migos’ hometown team) were set to play in Super Bowl LI against the Patriots. I and others took this as an omen that the Falcons were going to do the seemingly impossible and catch that first Super Bowl victory in franchise history.
That didn’t quite work out too well, with the Falcons blowing the biggest lead in Super Bowl history. It was 25 points, if you’ve somehow missed out on that one since then or just don’t watch the Super Bowl, like Fletcher Cox.
So what does this mean for the Patriots?
Well, the last time Migos put out some heat, New England won the Super Bowl. After all, they’re 1-0 in Super Bowls played when Migos release an album just days in advance, and 2-0 when a Migos album is released in the same calendar year.
I’m not great at math, but after some extensive work on paper and pencil, I’ve determined that the Patriots have won 100 percent of the Super Bowls they’ve played in under said circumstances.
Somebody call the Elias Sports Bureau to double check me on this one.
But...perhaps it could be a hex?
In Quavo’s verse on “Motorsport,” he takes a jab at Bill Belichick and Deflategate with “Bill Belichick / Take the air out the ball, just so I can flex.”
Look at Quavo stunting on the ‘gram while taking a shot at the NFL’s best head coach of all time:
There are plenty of stats and other odds and ends that would lead you to believe that the Patriots should win on Super Bowl Sunday.
But this is one stat that you cannot deny seems PRETTY solid.
Also, a note: Takeoff has THE best verses of the trio, and it ain’t close. Fight me.
