Watch Jalen Hurts celebrate with Tua after scoring the SEC Championship’s winning TD

The Alabama quarterbacks didn’t hold back in showing their joy over the big, complicated comeback.

Alabama completed the largest comeback in SEC Championship game history when Jalen Hurts ran in for a 15-yard touchdown to give the Tide a 35-28 lead.

Hurts was in the game after Tua Tagovailoa had to leave the game due to injury, and delivered the game-winning scamper with 1:04 remaining:

When Hurts got back to the sideline, he was met by Tagovailoa, where the two were showing love for each other:

Georgia made a push in the final minute, and was able to get to midfield with 23 second left. However, the Bulldogs couldn’t prevent yet another tragic loss at the hands of the Tide in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The touchdown came after Georgia ran arguably the worst fake-punt of all-time. The Bulldogs ran a direct snap to backup quarterback Justin Fields, who seemed to have no idea of where to go on the play:

After the game, Hurts said he was waiting on his opportunity, and he certainly made the most of it:

Alabama’s victory secures their spot as the No. 1 team in the college football playoff. With Georgia’s loss, it’s most likely that they’ll fall out of the No. 4 spot, and leave Oklahoma or Ohio State to now enter the Playoff.

Tagovailoa replaced Hurts in Alabama’s national championship victory against Georgia last season. Nearly 11 months later, Hurts is now the one who gets to be the hero.

The best part, is that both players have been happy for each other through each step of the way.
