Mikaela Shiffrin is now. She is history. She is the future.

The 22-year-old American Alpine skier is an outright marvel. And you shouldn’t miss a run in Pyeongchang if you can avoid it.

Making her Olympic debut at age 18 in Sochi, Shiffrin became the youngest women’s slalom champion in Olympic history in 2014. Four years later, she isn’t just the heir apparent to Lindsey Vonn — still a medal favorite herself in her fourth and likely last Olympics — on the U.S. ski team, but Shiffrin is poised to be the takeover star of the 2018 Games. Amid her preparation for as many as five events, the Colorado native has been busy downplaying comparisons to record-setting, medal-hoarding U.S. swimmer Michael Phelps.

That’s right, we are talking about Shiffrin in the context of an athlete who could have a historic 28 medals — 23 of them gold — around his neck right now. Best of luck to your medal trackers.

After winning gold in Sochi, Shiffrin shared her dream of winning five golds — that would mean victories in slalom, giant slalom (GOT IT!), super-G, downhill and alpine combined — at her next Olympics. Her next Olympics are now, and it could be that the only thing in her way is the busy schedule of the games.

“I would like to compete in everything,” she said on Saturday in South Korea, via The Aspen Times. “I’m not sure if I’m actually going to have that energy to do that. So right now I’m focusing on GS and slalom and after that I’ll be switching the focus to speed.”

Shiffrin insists that she is boring away from the mountain, but her feats on the slopes are anything but. Here is the schedule for every event that she might participate in at the 2018 Winter Olympics:
