The 2018 Winter Olympics have not disappointed, with some of the United States’ biggest moments so far coming from the snowboarding events. Continuing the sweep of gold medals from the boarding runs, Shaun White claimed his third gold in men’s halfpipe, and Team USA’s 100th Winter Olympic medal in history. Four American men will vie to continue that snowboard sweep on Wednesday, as they hit the slopes for the snowboard cross event, running right from elimination heat through the big final.

What to watch in the Olympics, updated medal count, and more.

And while some of the highly anticipated medalists have already claimed glory, there is a 22-year-old skier who has been waiting for her first moment to shine for daaaaaays. Reigning gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin has one of the busiest schedules among any athlete at the Winter Games, competing in five events — that were supposed to start on Sunday. Thanks to some nasty weather conditions and gusty winds, the giant slalom run was postponed to Wednesday.
She was supposed to compete in the women’s alpine skiing slalom event on Tuesday, but that too was postponed due to wind. Whether Shiffrin and the giant slalom will actually run tonight is yet to be seen, but when she finally does hit the slopes, all eyes will be on the phenom as she looks to make Winter Olympics medal history.
You can find live streaming of all events at NBC’s Olympics site.

Which Winter Olympic medals are up for grabs today?
Thanks to White nailing his third and final run in the men’s snowboard halfpipe event on Tuesday — and claiming his third gold medal in the process — the United States is up to seven medals so far in Pyeongchang. Team USA has pulled a full sweep of gold medals in snowboarding events, accounting for all four of the American’s golds (and one bronze).
The U.S. is holding firm to the No. 5 spot among medal-winning countries, but has leaped over Canada for the fourth-most gold medals won, so far. Leading the way in hardware are the Netherlands and Norway (now tied with 11), followed by Germany and Canada (now tied with 10). Team USA will have a couple good chances on Wednesday to add to their medal count, including in the men’s alpine skiing downhill (9 p.m. ET), women’s alpine skiing giant slalom (11:45 p.m. ET), and the men’s snowboard cross final (12:45 a.m. ET).
The figure skating pairs program will continue on Wednesday as well, with the free skate portion of the competition wrapping up the medal winners. Representing the United States in the pairs’ program are husband and wife Alexa Scimeca Knierim and Chris Knierim. They finished Tuesday’s pairs’ short program in 14th place, with a 65.55 score, so the medal podium is looking a little out of reach. The duo already helped claim a team bronze earlier in the week, so they won’t be going home empty handed.
“We are not upset at all with the score or the way we skated; we are just honored to be here,” Scimeca Knierim said, according to U.S. Figure Skating via NBC.
