The 16 teams that will vie for the 2018 NCAA men’s hockey tournament will be unveiled in a selection show on Sunday afternoon (12 p.m. ET, ESPNU, WatchESPN).

St. Cloud State is the top-ranked team in the country and was upset on March 10 by Miami (Ohio) then lost again to No. 4 Devner in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference Tournament on Saturday.
Another top contender, No. 2 Cornell was upset on Friday by Princeton in the Eastern College Athletic Conference semifinals. Princeton enters the tournament with two of the top scorers in the country in juniors Max Veronneau and Ryan Kuffner.
Notre Dame enters the tournament on a high note after beating Ohio State to win the Big Ten championship on Saturday, on St. Patrick’s Day, no less.
The 16-team field will compete in four regionals from March 23-25, and the tournament will conclude with the Frozen Four on April 5 and 7 in St. Paul, Minn.
Two parts
The four No. 1 seeds will be announced first on Sunday, and on Twitter, at 11 a.m. ET, via the @NCAAIceHockey account. Those four teams will be announced in alphabetical order, with the top overall seed not revealed until the full tournament selection show at noon.
The remaining 12 teams will be revealed during the noon show, completing the 16-team field.
