Fantasy football waiver wire: Best bye week replacements for wide receivers in Week 5

The NFL is headed into Week 5, and with that comes the first bye weekend. The Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Chargers, and Tennessee Titans are all going to get the weekend off.

Those teams on bye means fantasy football managers will be without the likes of Amon-Ra St. Brown, Calvin Ridley, Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston, Jahan Dotson, and Parris Campbell. If you’re holding onto A.J. Brown or DeVonta Smith in Philadelphia, they both get some helpful rest to continue covering from their injuries.

PPR leagues always offer a little more value for the wide receiver position, but some lightly rostered receivers can still offer some value in standard leagues. Here’s a look at wide receivers rostered in less than 50% of fantasy football leagues.

Robinson has quietly emerged as a consistent threat behind Malik Nabers, putting together double digit PPR performances in three of the four weeks this season. He’s coming off his best week with 11 receptions for 71 yards against the Cowboys. This week, the Giants travel to face a tough Seahawks defense.

Lazard’s season totals are inflated by two touchdowns in Week 1, but he’s put together back-to-back double digit efforts against the Patriots and Broncos. He had three receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown in Week 3, and followed that with five receptions for 58 yards in Week 4. The Jets travel to face the Vikings in Week 5.

The ceiling is low for Nailor, but he’s got a decent floor, especially if you’re in a 14-team league. He scored a touchdown in each of the first three games of the season. He only managed a single 31-yard reception in Week 4, but if you’re desperate, he’s worth a look.
