SB Nation’s 2016 Ryder Cup Preview

The 2016 Ryder Cup will be decided in the most pressurized competition in the game at Hazeltine National Golf Club. There, 24 of the best players in the world will split off in 12-man teams to stake their claim to the Ryder Cup for the next two years.

But, before the competition heads over to the golf course, the Ryder Cup captains squared off in a trivia match. Davis Love III was there to represent the United States while European team captain Darren Clarke took his place as the opposition. Love and Clarke are familiar foes when it comes to the Ryder Cup. They were on opposite sides four times as players, with Clarke's side coming away victorious three of the four times. They will meet for the first time as captains soon, but started the competition early with a trivia duel.

How well do the two know the history of the Ryder Cup and even some relevant history about their own teams? Well, not all that well. Now we have to wait and see if the result will carry over to the golf course.
