Klay Thompson acquitted himself well in a one-on-two game against two extremely charming Labrador retrievers. But how about those dogs? Both Dog 1 and Dog 2 are 2018 NBA draft prospects, but they bring very different skill sets to the table. Let’s dig in:
The official scouting report for Klay Thompson’s basketball dog friends

DOG 1 SCOUTING REPORT
- Terrific defensive footwork despite having 4 legs
- Reads the scouting report; focuses hopping and barking to force Thompson to his left
- Prone to gambling, but recovers to close out shot
- Diminutive stature and negligent wingspan make shot contests pretty weak; not a shot-blocker
- Lacks the size to be an elite rebounder, but effort is there
PROJECTION: Late-lottery/mid-first round
DOG 2 SCOUTING REPORT
- Has the body to be a plus defender but effort is seriously lacking
- Zones out at inopportune moments, fails to contest shots
- No nose for rebounds; busy smelling floor and wagging tail when shot goes up
PROJECTION: Undrafted, barring a serious recommitment to defense.
