Bayern Munich vs. Hoffenheim: Final score 2-0, Bayern cruise to easy victory

The Bavarians made easy work of Hoffenheim at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern Munich equaled the Bundesliga record for the most wins to start the season at seven with a 2-0 victory over Hoffenheim.

After some early pressure, Bayern jumped out to a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes. Thomas Müller played the ball out to a streaking Franck Ribery. He beat Andreas Beck before crossing the ball back past Koen Casteels for the nice finish.

Müller was forced off shortly after the goal due to a collision with teammate Mario Mandzukic. Müller took the worst of the collision leaving with a gash on his face combined with a forming black eye.

Ribery made it 2-0 just after halftime with a curling finish. Mandzukic crossed the ball in from the right flank to Toni Kroos. The midfield scuffed his shot but quickly recovered to play the ball to Ribery who beat Casteels again.

Bayern eased off for the remainder of the match and cruised to victory. Javi Martinez had the opportunity to make it 3-0, but his attempt was wide. The victory was fairly easy for Bayern, but they weren’t necessarily impressive throughout.
